    Hi,

    I am having trouble viewing my site on IE8. the layout is wider than the screen…
    Any fix for this via CSS or other hints how to make the site visible on IE8?

    I see you’re using the a responsive option for the slider. IE8 is an old browser, it doesn’t know what reponsive is, so responsive elements won’t work correctly in IE8. If IE8 makes up such an important part of your audience, I suggest using a fixed-width slider in there, not a responsive one.
