How to properly clear the theme cache?

Hello,

I would like to kindly ask you for help. I have one item in portfolio that keeps displaying the old thumbnail even though that old image is even already deleted.

I have also removed from Blog page the option to display header and it still displays it. I have also tried different browsers and it still shows it…

I can only guess that I should clear cache.

I already cleared browser cache but I was wondering if there is any way to globnal;ly clear theme cache?

Hi,

Beside the browser cache but there also some plugins that cache content.

Try in a different browser or in incognito mode in Chrome to confirm that you are seeing the new thumbnail.

Hi Rui,

I have tried this options as well. Thumbnail worked only after I renamed the picture.

How about my Blog posts page? I have disabled the option to show the sidebar and the page title and it still shows both.

Maybe it is not an issue of cache?

Hi,

Maybe your hosting has installed some cache mechanism by default.
Can you ask them if they have any cache mechanism installed in your site?

Unfortunately, It doesn’t look like this is the issue. Is there any other way to remove page title from the blog?
Or on the page itself, that would be the only place where you can change this option?

Hi there, I managed to resolve the case, here was the issue:

“Do you have the posts page set in Settings > Reading? If so, then this will use the archive layout, rather than the page you have setup. All you need to do is remove this selection.”
