Google+ Sharer on Product Page

The G+ sharer on the product page doesn’t seem to use the correct code:

Ie. https://plus.google.com/share?url={URL}

The URL doesn’t seem to form? Is this correct functionality?

I have the same problem mentioned by ovrld.

On click on the google + icon in order to share an article, the google plus window opens but endlessly load.

replacing {url} with <?php the_permalink(); ?> :
