Sorry to hear you’re having problems, J, I just deactivated plugins, clicked update (took about 10 mins) then reactivated the plugins and it was all sweet-nice clean site BTW!
DaveJuly 2, 2013 at 9:59 am #9831If you’re having issues, try editing the asset in the page builder, then saving it and saving the page. It may just be cached.

July 2, 2013 at 12:51 pm #9839Thank you Dave for the nice compliment. Ed, I think you guys do offer good customer service, but to date only 1 of the 4 issues I’ve asked for help on has been fully resolved.
In terms of the map – as said one of my portfolio items is correctly picking up the maps afriGIS data and is displaying correctly – http://www.authentic-representation.com/portfolio/kololo-game-reserve/
The remainder are displaying a pin out in the Atlantic. New Google Map modules added in pagebuilder do not resolve this. It’s not a cache issue (all cleared and tested). It’s not a plug-in issue and I doubt it’s a server issue (as other users have reported this).
It may be a Google API issue – but if so that’s beyond my capability to resolve – please take a look at our website as it doesn’t make logical sense why maps are ok on one page and not others.
Thanks,
J
July 4, 2013 at 5:17 pm #10199Hmm, very odd. Can you provide me with an address that you’re entering which doesn’t work?
Also, let me know which of your other tickets haven’t been resolved – I’ll check them out.

July 4, 2013 at 8:16 pm #10254Hi,
I have a problem, I can’t see an update in my dashboard…
It tells me my theme is up to date. What should I do?
Kind regards,
July 4, 2013 at 8:26 pm #10257Sorry,
it took some time but the update appeared. I updated but the problem is it doesn’t change a thing…
Can you help me please?
http://www.connecteam.fr is the website I’m working on. You’ll find the map in “contact 1”.
It should be in Paris…Kind regards,
July 4, 2013 at 8:55 pm #10274Sure Ed on http://www.authentic-representation.com/portfolio/madi-a-thavha-mountain-lodge/ my Google address is Madi a Thavha Mountain Lodge South Africa
THe google pin works perfectly when you click on it – except it’s hanging out in the big blue…
Here’s the Google URL from the pin https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Madi+a+Thavha+Mountain+Lodge+south+africa
There’s a few other portfolio entries suffering a similar glitch. It doesn’t seem to picking up the afrigis maps feed on the displayed layer.

July 5, 2013 at 11:37 am #10368@AuthenticUK – Thanks for the address. It seems that it only occurs on certain addresses, which gives me something to go on for fixing it.
Will let you know once I’ve found the cause.

July 5, 2013 at 11:39 am #10369Checking the API, and it seems the address returns “Zero Results” from the API:
Whereas an address like “London” returns as expected.
http://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/geocode/json?address=’London’&sensor=true

July 5, 2013 at 11:47 am #10370For now, I would recommend you use the google maps embed iframe from the site for the maps that aren’t working.
I can’t seem to find any reason for why the API won’t return certain addresses, but I’m still looking.

July 5, 2013 at 1:03 pm #10392Hi Ed,
If i understand, I must now use the code from google map that I get directly on their website? But because I have a contact form on the left half page should I use a text module put it half page and insert in it the google code? Will it work like that?
I just want to be sure…Did you look at my website to know where the problem could come from or will you? I’m asking that because I have to put it back in maintenance mode pretty soon.
Kind regards,
July 5, 2013 at 3:21 pm #10435Done – workaround….not ideal. Google support is tough to access – it looks like something is awry with the API – can you log a support request with the big G?
Thanks,
J
July 5, 2013 at 5:03 pm #10450@chryseis – Yes, that will work. Looked at your site and map seems to work fine?
@AuthenticUK – Yes, I’ll see what I can do to get some answer for why these issues are occurring with their API.– Ed
July 5, 2013 at 5:20 pm #10462Hi Ed,
You’re right the map is fine now!! I can’t explain, seems the up date worked but it may have taken some time..
That’s good news!:-)
Thanks a lot!

I had some problems and ended up deleting the theme-went back to themeforest to re-load and it appears that the version there has not been updated to the latest version…can you refresh it please because I’m back in the ocean!
Thanks
