Fix Author Archive page

so if I go Menu –> Blog –> Welcome Post –> more by Erin

I get an archive page that has a thumbnail image and a listing of published posts

issue 1.

the problem is this page also display the shopping cart and part (called quickshop) of a page I published (called qlook2), which was linked to by a font awesome icon on the menu bar (the code that displayed the icon has now been deleted) appears to the left of the post thumbnail.

so how do I remove both the cart and quickshop?

issue 2.

how do i change the background color of the archive page?

this is the page in question

issue 1 (see above) the right sidebar elements (Cart, Quickshop, and Recently Viewed) become a problem when you minimize a browser window using opera or IE or FF (latest versions) – have not test on a smartphone yet

but it looks perfect in terms of responsiveness with chrome ONLY (when i make the browser window as small as possible on the desktop)

also Cart is redundant so I want to remove it entirely, but without leaving a “hole” for other things that may appear below it

issue 2 is a simpler problem

i need the right selector to change the background color of this page or add some background image if i want
