    When excerpt text is coming from the content, what code do I need to retain html tags?

    Hi,

    By default, WordPress displays excerpt without any HTML tags, you can try some plugins like this https://wordpress.org/plugins/advanced-excerpt/ to take control of the excerpts.

    In Advanced Excerpt plugin I’ve checked
    Remove shortcodes from the excerpt. (recommended)

    Yet shortcodes i.e. one-half are still taking effect.

    Also have set Finish to Sentence, and excerpts are still truncating before sentence endings.

    Hi,
    You can get HTML tags with full content only. Do you want to display full content instead of excerpt?
