    Hi

    We have a big problem with showing the excerpts… sometimes it shows sometimes not… if we create a new article using the swiftbuilder with the normal textarea it wount show the excerpt in the Blog-Page. Only in the single-article page… WHY THAT? If we add the text to the classic editor it works perfectly. We deactived all plugins too still wount work… is this a bug? If yes! PLEASE WE NEED A FIX!!! As fast as it can be!!!!

    Hi,

    Which Pinpoint version are you using? For the Blog element in the Page Builder, have you set an Excerpt length?

    Also, I would need to ask you to please be patient, we have a 48hr response time and questions are answered oldest to newest. If you reply to your own thread, you basically push it at the back of the queue.

    Have you set a custom excerpt for each of your posts?

    Nope… everything is default no custom excerpts nothing…
    Like i said… without swiftbuilder it works perfectly if i create a textarea with swiftbuilder and publish the article… its blank… u can see only the tag in firebug…
    we need a solution very fast!!!!

    Hi,

    I see you have a lot of plugins active, some of which may interfere with the theme. Especially those Shortcoder and jQuery Archive.

    Since it’s a live site, I didn’t want to deactivate them myself – please do this yourself, deactivating plugins one by one and testing (you can leave the plugins recommended by the theme, as well as WP SEO)

    Checked just now.

    You will need to add a custom excerpt to posts created with the Page Builder, as those sit inside a shortcode and WordPress will not be able to generate an excerpt for them: http://cl.ly/image/2r2R0g332w1K

    Because those other ones are not inside a shortcode.

    Both posts you linked to are created with the Page Builder, thus their content is inside a shortcode.

    Only the one that you added a custom excerpt to, will show it.

    If both posts were not created with the Page Builder, then they would both show an excerpt without the need for you to manually add one.

    So the theme is functioning normally, maybe my previous answer wasn’t well explained. Hope this helps explain it better.
