Hi,

When I don’t use the custom excerpt option but just let the theme get the first lines of my post as the excerpt I noticed it strippes line-breakes. Is it possible to get this fixed?

Hi,

The default WP excerpt does not process HTML code, it’s stripped out. The custom excerpt will all you to do this.

After trying several codes I found on the net nothing seems to override this. Are you really sure that this is generated by WP? I don’t use the custom excerpt. My client just want to have the first lines of the post to appear but with the possibility to see <p> and other tags.

Hi,

Why not use the custom excerpt we provide for this situation?

If you do not use the custom excerpt, we run the text through our simple function sf_excerpt() located within /themes/atelier/swift-framework/core/sf-formatting.php.

You could look to override that function from within a child theme functions.php file.
