Hi @Joanna
The reason why it doesn’t show in Twenty16, but does in Dante, is likely because Dante has multiple image sizes that are generated when you upload an image (to speed up the loading of said image in the various places it can be used). There is nothing wrong as such with the php in the theme. There are a couple options around this, one being to remove those sizes if you’d prefer doing that over upgrading your hosting. There may be something else – i’m just checking and will get back to you shortly.

July 25, 2016 at 1:32 pm #283677Hi Ed,
To be honest, I am not worried at all about uploading the images. For this, I can just upload smaller ones, that will be fine for web. My biggest worry is that the website simply can’t be reached and my clients think it is broken 🙁
So that is the only issue I am concerned about-> my website not accessible rather than the images itself.
Thank you,
Joanna
July 25, 2016 at 2:08 pm #283689Any issue with your website being not accessible inconsistently can only be resolved by your host – have they provided any info as to why this happens? Or was this a direct result of when you tried to upload larger images?
– Ed
July 25, 2016 at 2:30 pm #283698Yes, they have said that it looks like an error in the php code that cause the website to loop every time someone tries to access it. They made this conclusion because they said that my website has not enough traffic (about 10 visitors a day) for the issue to come from available space/resources on my website. They are happy to help me by upgrading my account on additional charge but they suggested I first check with the theme developer as they are pretty sure that upgrading the account will not help.
The issue started to occur about 1 month ago and I noticed it because of the image upload error and clients making complaints and even Swift Support telling me that the website is not working/life.
If both you and the hosting provider claim it is not anything on your side, I will hire the developer to double check it for me but before I spend my money on an additional support I wanted to make sure that it is nothing from your side or even my own error with maybe some settings I used. I have no idea, I am just repeating to you what they have told me.
I would be super unhappy to pay a fortune to the developer who would tell me to go back to you or that the error was in the theme code.
So, are you saying you are 100% sure it is not caused by the theme or any php that we have implemented? If yes then no problem, I will try to solve it on my own.
Joanna
July 25, 2016 at 2:43 pm #283701Hi Joanna,
If it was something solely in the theme, then this would be visible on a very large scale given the amount of customers we have that use the theme.
If the host is suggesting it’s an issue in the PHP, then they should have visible errors in their logs which they could provide to back up this information. Errors don’t usually just occur with no evidence (and if anyone has this, it will be your host).
Only thing I can suggest is run a plugin such as WP Super Cache which will cache your pages to prevent them needing to be loaded each time.
– Ed
July 25, 2016 at 2:50 pm #283706Yes, of course, but the support theme have provided me with many additional codes and settings over past months that I have added to the website.
OK then, I will just hire a developer to understand where is the problem from since everyone says it is not on their side and you cannot help me.
I already have WP Super Cache running.
Thank you for your time.

July 25, 2016 at 3:20 pm #283722Hi @Joanna
It’s unlikely that any of that code would have an effect, and it still remains true that your host should be able to provide some more concrete information.
Hopefully your developer can shed some light. Please keep us updated.

July 25, 2016 at 5:32 pm #283758Hi there,
So after troubleshooting the website with host tracker and getting the 503 error all the time I have disabled the theme and plugins again. It all goes to 0 errors after that. Developer confirmed that it is a theme or plugin issue NOT A HOSTING ISSUE for sure.
He said it is most likely bad script in the theme or a plugin that is over utilising resources on the server. They said that you could see error by using something called P3 profiller.
The http image error is something totally else than the fact that I cannot see the site. SO do I have to open another case for the site not loading?

– what was the error please report this back to us if you have it?
Thanks.
July 28, 2016 at 7:43 am #284491Hi there,
He just suggested that we use this plugin. I was not able to afford more than 1 hour of developer right now, so since I have both paid support with hosting and theme providers I asked only to inspect for me who should I ask for help with this issue.
I have installed the plugin and run it but looks to me only like plugin performance in general. Please see the screenshot attached. Not sure if it helps.
The case is open now for almost 2 weeks, can someone just have a look into the code or not? I have followed all your instructions (disabled plugins and the theme) and all seems working when I do so. But so far all I got from this forum is pointing the blame on the hosting providers.
I am sorry I am not a developer, so I cannot tell who is right or understand at all what the heck is happening. Maybe I did something wrong, I really have no idea.
Can you please just tell me if you will help me or not? I need to solve this issue as I have advertising running and half of the people do not see my website. If you can’t help, it is no problem at all, please just say so and I will try to fix it somewhere else.
Thank you,
Joanna

Attached also a screenshot with errors from here: https://www.host-tracker.com but again, I am not sure if/how could that help.

The image upload speed for you in the backend would not be related to the front-end scripts you have tested above.
The actual front-end speed of your site is pretty fast for a standard shared host, you can actual speed this up further if you want to look into a caching plugin and a decent minification plugin.

July 30, 2016 at 7:45 am #285018Hi there,
OK, then I have nothing else that can help resolve the case. I already have caching plugin and I am OK with the speed.
I am only interested now to fix this 503 errors that causes my website not to be visible to my clients, that is all. Thanks,
Joanna
August 1, 2016 at 1:09 pm #285233Ok, no problem.
A 503 error is a server error: http://www.checkupdown.com/status/E503.html It’s thrown when apache or httpd isn’t running and can’t serve html or run php.
Who do you host with out of interest?
