    Hello!

Is there a way to have the filter for the portfolio be within an existing menu item, rather than appear on its own when in the portfolio section?

    Thank you!

Unfortunately not as standard, you’d need to manually change this.

    Hi Ed,

Thanks for getting back to me.
What do you mean by ‘manually’?

Hi, I’m afraid I don’t understand your question, could you rephrase it for me?
From what it sounds like you want to have the portfolio filter (?) as a menu item? That seems not possible.

    Cheers

    Hi Melanie,

What i’d like to do is relocate the filter button, and put it in a static menu item instead.

At the moment, I have a ‘projects’ menu item which you click on first. It takes you to the portfolio page, and in the header a ‘filter’ menu item appears.
What i’d like to do is be able to click on ‘projects’ and have the project categories be shown under that, rather than a completely separate ‘filter’ control.

    Thanks!

Well you can definitely put the shop categories into the custom menu directly ๐Ÿ™‚ Cheers

    Aah sorry I meant Portfolio.

Could you show us your website please? I’m struggling to explain it here.

    Hi Melanie,

Is it worth me getting a developer to have a look and make some changes of their own? Or is it so completely not possible that it’s not worth it?
    Can you recommend anyone?

    Thanks

It’s definitely possible if a dedicated developer looks into it. You will probably need some javascript, I haven’t looked at it closed as it goes beyond the scope of free support we can grant. But if you need that feature I’d say it’s worth hiring a developer.
I’m afraid I cannot recommend anybody, but if you go to microlancer or visit the themeforest forums you will find many who are willing to help ๐Ÿ™‚

    Cheers
