    Hi,

    Is this the correct way to create a home page for the site?

    1) create a page intended for use as home page
    2) go to settings->reading and set the home page to point to a static page

    If we use this approach, can we set certain components of this home page to show things like latest post or popular pages/posts?

    Hi there,

    Yes that is the correct way to set the home page, and you can use any of the page builder assets on that page as with any page.
