Coupons not applied

Hi there,

we have a problem with coupons in the cart sections. Whenever a code is provided and the apply button is clicked, the cart just reloads but the coupon never gets applied to the cart.
Are there any known issues with coupons?

This does not happen on our installations, so if you need help with a specific problem on your website, I would always need to see your site live please.
Could you tell me your website URL please? You can do so by typing it into a reply.

Only occurs on pressing Enter. Clicking the Apply button works fine.

Unfortunately in my case neither the apply button nor pressing enter works.

Why has this been marked as resolved? This isn’t resolved. The problem still exists in the same way as before. Neither the button nor pressing the enter key applies the discount to the cart. The coupon code is actually sent (which can be seen in the httpheaders) but it does nothing to the price.
Any advice on how to get this to work would be appreciated!

Hi Ed,

I tracked the issue down quite a bit further and here’s what I could figure out. Maybe it helps someone else out too:

In my case the WP-URL and the Site-URL were set to https:// which caused WP to redirect every page to the normal http:// version. Unfortunately thie 302 redirect lost the coupon code and did only the normal shopping cart. Changing my settings to normal http:// for both the Site-URL and the WP-URL solved the problem. Also the SSL-enforcement for the checkout doesn’t lose the coupon code.
WP redirection weirdness …
