Changing the name of the Portfolio section

Hi,

**note** I have a few issues I need to resolve, but as they’re all quite different I’ll post them separately.**

I want to change the name of the portfolio section on the site.

Ideally, in the back-end too – but all I really need is for it to change on the front end so that ‘Portfolio’ becomes ‘Workshops’ in the breadcrumb etc.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Luke,

You would need to :

1) translate the theme using the .po file provided in the languages folder. Read more here.

2) If you need the URL structure to use the new name, read here.

Does point 1 relate to this issue or the other problem I’m having translating blog posts?
Apologies if that’s an obviously stupid question, I’m not exactly what you’d call a coder!

If it is indeed to edit the name ‘Portfolio’ – is there anything I need to be careful of with POedit conflicting with my WPML installation?

Hi,

No, it’s not related to that.

You could translate the theme and have it in a different language than English, but still have the .mo file and wp-config call for en_US 😉
