Hi there,
My client wants to be able to change the ShareThis link and text that are included when someone Tweets a post. Ideally, he’d like to use his own custom URL and determine what text goes in the Tweet or FB post. I see the ST functions in”single” – what should I change it *to*? Alternatively, could it just be disabled and use a different sharing plugin? http://brothatech.com
Many thanks!

Please check this thread and follow the documentation for ShareThis! to customize this part.

Support AssistantMay 24, 2013 at 1:28 pm #6044Hi Cosmin,
It looks like I don’t have access to that link. I only have a Flexform license so far.

June 1, 2013 at 2:19 pm #6797I’m still trying to hash this out. If I change the st_url to bit.ly/ – will it still generate a dynamic link for that particular post? Or will it be a hard link to the main site itself? I actually don’t see the section where I can change the message, either. I’m looking at the single.php:
<div class="share-links clearfix">
<div class="share-text"><?php _e("Share:", "swiftframework"); ?></div>
<div class="share-buttons">
<span class='st_facebook_hcount' displayText='Facebook'></span>
<span class='st_twitter_hcount' displayText='Tweet'></span>
<span class='st_googleplus_hcount' displayText='Google +'></span>
<span class='st_linkedin_hcount' displayText='LinkedIn'></span>
<span class='st_pinterest_hcount' displayText='Pinterest'></span>
</div>Should I be looking in another location for the code as indicated at the ShareThis link above?
June 5, 2013 at 12:53 pm #7133@doktadivah – ShareThis is not something we coded, so I couldn’t say how changing the URL will affect sharing on their side.
Based on their doecs, I’ve explained how to change it (read here)

Support AssistantJune 5, 2013 at 1:15 pm #7143The link asks me for my license info again. I only have access to the Flexform forum. The links to other support forums don’t work for me. When I enter my code for Flexform I’m denied access.
June 5, 2013 at 2:12 pm #7173Ah, sorry about that, it was posted for Supreme.
Here it is:
————————————
Edit single.php and find this line:<span class='st_twitter_hcount' displayText='Tweet'></span>
Replace with:
<span class='st_twitter_hcount' displayText='Tweet' st_title='<?php the_title(); ?> {via @YOURusernameHERE}'></span>
————————————
Some of the users said it still won’t work, but I haven’t found any other documentation on the ShareThis website – that’s all they tell you.
Regards,
