When I try to edit “functions.php” I get the following error.

Service Temporarily Unavailable
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.
This seems to occur ONLY within the Theme Functions and none of the other code sheets.
Is there a way to resolve this? The reason i’d like to access this file is – I want to add ShareThis buttons to the my blog overview posts, not the posts details. [I’ve attached a screen shot example of social icons to the overview page that I want to implement].

Does this make sense? Perhaps i’m not trying to add the correct code in the right place – BUT I should be able to edit functions.php regardless…

I appreciate your help.

I just FTP’d into my host and accessed it.
