Hi, I have been looking at adding attributes to my menus: https://docs.woothemes.com/document/using-custom-attributes-in-menus/

In the instructions it says I need to do the following:
Copy woocommerce/templates/taxonomy-product_cat.php into your theme folder
Rename the template to reflect your attribute – in our example we’d use taxonomy-pa_size.php

If I do this, will it be erased when theme updates are issued? Or do theme updates just overwrite files and so it would be left untouched?

    Thanks
    Sam

    Hi,

In this case you will have to copy it into the child theme, keeping the same directory structure so it won’t be overwritten by the updates.

Not sure what exactly you are trying to achieve but it’s already possible to add product categories and product tags to the menus.

    What is the goal?

Hi Rui, I know you can add categories and tags, but I would like to add attributes, as I have some that are not in categories or tags.

    Does that make sense?

    thanks

    Hi

If you uploaded the new theme via FTP then it will not delete the files, it will just override the old files. However if you update via WP admin it will delete the files
