Assign a team member

Hello

I need to be able to assign / display a team member(s) to a post / portfolio.

Done a quick search, surprised that this hasn’t be requested before? would be a great feature.

Is there a shortcode i could use – to display a member(s)?

No never had anyone request this before, posts can only be linked to WordPress users, not team members

You would need to use the team member asset, but to display only 1 you would need to assign them each a category so you can select that category in the asset options

yes, thats my problem.

What I’m trying to do: When I create a post (all posts are about a piece of work) – I can display which team member(s) worked on it – which will then link to there team profile.

Does that make sense? or is that insane!
If its not do able, Is there a way of creating a selectable list of buttons to each team member (via a plugin or something) – Its for the enduser to just click ‘assign john doe’ to that project

Ok

I know I can produce a work around. But It leads to another question!

I’d like to create a menu that uses ‘team’
But when I go to create a menu, I can’t select it from the options.
Its Strange that it allows you to select ‘FAQs’? why not team?

Any chance I could add something to functions.php to allow teams into the menu selection?
