This question pertains to the homepage button in the Parallax Slider and the menu on this page http://www.spottingcancer.org/cancer-signs-symptoms/

I cannot seem to get the link to transfer the user to the correct place on the page.

Ex. If I write in the button on the homepage:

    [sf_button colour=”accent” type=”standard” size=”large” link=”#homepage1″ target=”_self” icon=”” dropshadow=”yes” extraclass=”button-homepage”]Start Here ►[/sf_button]

and then I put right above the words about containing cancer because that is where I want the users new top page to fall it takes me much lower on the page.

Also, it takes me to different places on the page depending on the device I am using.

FYI I am using a plugin called Easy Smooth Scroll Links https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/easy-smooth-scroll-links

    ANOTHER HELPFUL LINK
    http://www.jeriffcheng.com/wordpress-plugins/easy-smooth-scroll-links

    Can you please help me?

    Thank you,
    WS

    Hi,

It seems to be working for me, but the button isn’t visible.
    Are you seeing the button?

The button went away for awhile because of the updates to 3.06 but you guys fixed it in 3.11. Can you please try it now? I want the user to land where it does in the attached photo but for me it lands lower after I click on the button.

    Hi there,

You don’t need a plugin for that. In the extra class parameter for the button include “smooth-scroll-link” and it will automatically scroll to the section for you – and take the header height into consideration.
