Moving from Dante (or even Neighborhood/Flexform) to Uplift, Atelier or Cardinal should be a relatively pain-free experience, although there are a few things you can do to ensure that your Page Builder pages are upgraded to the new formats.

The easiest way to do this is to install the Find Replace plugin – https://wordpress.org/plugins/better-search-replace/ . This plugin will allow you to search your post/page content for page builder shortcodes, and replace the strings so that the pages are ready when you go to edit them. You should run through each of the following below, one by one:

"[blog " replace with "[spb_blog "
"[clients " replace with "[spb_clients "
"[codesnippet " replace with "[spb_codesnippet "
"[/codesnippet" replace with "[/spb_codesnippet"

Would it be easy to upgrade from Joyn theme?

  • designward says:

    Hi Ed,

Just about to purchase – i was just wondering – the upgrade from Joyn to Atelier.
Do i just upload the theme and then activate or is there anything i need to be aware of – do you have a guide included with the theme?

    Many thanks,

    Pete

      Hi Pete,

Upgrading from Joyn is very very simple, you don’t need to really do any prep. The only thing I would suggest is exporting the theme options with Joyn activated (the text export) and then importing these once you’ve enabled Atelier. This will carry across your logo etc, mainly for convienience.

      Hope that helps.

    Hi Ed,

I don’t see how i can upload the import file from my desktop?

    Many thanks,

  • designward says:

As my last email was a little brief I thought it might help to mention.
I exported the Theme Options/Settings under import/export within the Theme Options. (downloaded to my desktop.)
I have now activated the New Theme Atelier and gone into to upload the import/export and when I click on ‘Import from file’ there is no upload file button??? the import from file button opens a text box? not sure what to do from here?

  • Swift Ideas - Ed says:

When you click “Import from File”, you should get an box to paste the code you exported? Like this – https://www.dropbox.com/s/tkj20mkavqy8hd3/Screenshot%202015-04-27%2019.30.46.png?dl=0

Dont worry – i worked this out – just open the downloaded file in note pad and copy and paste and click import.
    Cheers

    Hi guys,

I clicked on the link provided for the plugin, but wordpress returns with: “We couldn’t find that plugin. Maybe you were looking for one of these?” and makes a few suggestions. Could you help me locate the right plugin?

I’m planning to upgrade from Neigborhood in the next few days.

Hey there, I have purchased Cardinal but really want the header/nav of Atelier (the logo in the middle and the language flags. Is it possible to combine the 2? e.g. use Cardinal but have the Atlier header? Thanks and love the themes!!

    • Swift Ideas - Ed says:

Thanks for the kind words. Unfortunately it’s not possible to combine the two. We’ll note down the request and see if we can provide it in a future update however.

  • My client is currently using Kaboodle (expired theme) from WooThemes.

Do you think I’ll have any issues updating to Atelier?

    Thanks!!

    • Swift Ideas - Ed says:

      Hi Claire.

No – you shouldn’t have an issue, and you’ll have access to much more functionality!

      Thanks,

      – Swift Ideas

Ok, I assume I am not searching and replacing with your badges… is the spacing correct, however?
    i.e.,

    “[boxed_content ” replace with ”

    ” replace with ”

    “[divider ” replace with “[spb_divider ”
    “[blank_spacer ” replace with “[spb_blank_spacer ”

    ???

  • yellowdogpg says:

I am ignoring the quotes, it’s tthemismatched items at the top of the list that I am not understanding…
Reading it as it appears on your site here, “[blog ” is replaced by nothing? or replaced by a series of CR and tabs?
    Nothing is replaced by “”[/spb_codesnippet]”?
