I have a thought on this? Since all the JS and CSS files take up most of the load time on the homepage. Does the issue get solved with a CDN?

I’m running the child theme so I alway wonder is placing them in a subdomain would help speed it up.

I’m having the same problem since the upgrade. I don’t have maintenance mode on and I replaced the child theme as well as the main theme. For some reason when I use the child theme the home page isn’t using the static page.

Also the child-theme’s “static front page”customization and wordpress settings are both set for a static page.
