Actually, on further investigation, I’ve realized it also distorts on 471×712 though it is more subtle: You can tell by looking at the circle around the buddha’s head in the second photo, which looks more oval in the lightbox. https://heatherwatts.com/product/buddha-cat-necklace/

Oh, I see. That’s frustrating. The image is shorter because those are the dimensions of it. Otherwise I would have to crop it or add whitespace underneath which will make the thumbnail image awkward. Also, some of my products are horrizontal photos: https://heatherwatts.com/product/bumper-cars-skull-art-print/ which also distort.

But you are correct, on images where I use the 471×712 there is no distortion.

Is there another lightbox plugin you can recommend to go with Dante that will work properly with different image dimensions?

Hi Mohammed. Thanks very much. Actually that CSS just made them permanently visible rather than only on hover, so instead I changed it to this, which made them permanently invisible:

    .woocommerce ul.products li.product figure figcaption{display:none;}

    Thanks for your help!

    🙂

The setting you mentioned is for the photo overlay, it will select whether or not to fade or transition in the second photo on hover. The text over that says “add to shopping bag” with a wishlist button that comes up from the bottom is what I want to get rid of as I mentioned in my first post.

I actually like the photo overlay and would like to keep it for now I think. However, right now the overlay is set to off. As you can see, the text still slides up from the bottom and is screwy in the related products page anyway. I want to ditch it all. Here are some examples:

And here, in the related products section at the bottom: https://heatherwatts.com/product/sees-things-differently-surreal-art-print/

Okay thanks. Yeah, the speed is good because I still have the plugin enabled. Since it just seems to be one of those weird wordpress plugin conflicts that can’t be helped I’m going to look at Cloudflare or Incapsula instead. They have free plans that include some minifying of JS/CSS so hopefully I can just ditch the plugin and switch over. Thanks for the help Ed.

I have changed it back, but both ways it is now also causing my images on product pages not to show up. The only way I can get these images to show up is to deactivate the plugin. Then everything returns to normal. But then my site is too slow, and one of the main reasons I bought Dante was because it says it’s fast.

Oh, and the products were also still displayed incorrectly, but it was better.

Hi Ed, thanks for the assistance.

Under Manage Enqueued Files I selected responsive.css and chose “remove”. It did change the alignment of the header and product category pages but it is still incorrect. It is now displaying the header on my large screen desktop set too far to the left and not full-width. I selected responsive.css and chose “not minify” as well to see if that would help but it didn’t.

    Any other ideas?

I just discovered it’s also messing with my store category pages, causing the items to display/align improperly on my large screen. It fixes as soon as I deactivate the plugin, than screws up again when I activate it. Definitely a big issue.

Thank you. Hmm. I already purged the plugin cache, deactivate & reactivated it and I don’t have any other Cache plugins (unless one was installed automatically as part of Dante, but I don’t think so)

    Hi laranz,

Thank you for the reply. I didn’t realize it but YES, it is due to Better WordPress Minify. Unfortunately that plugin makes a huge impact on my site speed so I don’t want to deactivate it.

The CSS you wrote doesn’t work as is. Is there a different minify plugin you recommend? Also I wasn’t sure what you meant by “PS: You can adjust the media query widths from to values.”

Ps–in the screenshot, what is actually meant on the left is “logo covers the top line”
