    Hi David,

Yes, it’s happening on certain browsers only, but Mac + Chrome is exactly where I spotted this. It was the same for Safari but not for Firefox in my machine but I also used the Sauce Lab app to test it on other platforms and browsers and saw that it also happened on Win + Chrome. Other browsers seem to work fine.

I hope it is clear what the problem actually is. It is not something visual as much as a usability problem. If I use the Continue button on the slider to scroll all the way down to next content area, everything goes fine. But if I scroll down myself and some part of the slider is still visible, I can’t click the SAIBA MAIS button nor does it show its hover effect. It is as if the layer in which the hidden part of the slider image is sits on top of the button. I can’t select the text in this area either because it is also “under” this hidden layer, though this is a far lesser problem.

Please tell me if this is clearer.

    thanks

    Hi David,

    Thanks for the reply.

The css you suggested worked just fine and now the logos are always aligned on each box. I had tried something similar to this but I was styling only the images and the figure element, not realizing it had to be up to the client-item div. Great!

But even after updating the theme and swift framework it does not prevent it from cropping images larger than 300px as you can still see in the page http://www.russoramirez.com.br/new-clients/. How can I fix this?

Moreover, there was no notification in the admin panel that there was a new update for the theme and plugin. Shouldn’t there be?

    thanks.

    Hi David,

I am just now getting back to this issue. I used the plugin to re-order the posts as you suggested, that’s solved.

Now regarding the logos grid, I have managed to style the images, using max-height and media queries, in a way that it resizes every logo to fit the grid on all display sizes. But I just can’t get to make them centralized vertically within each box. If the logo has a height smaller than the average (125px) it will stick to the top of its box and screw the alignment. Isn’t there any way to fix this?

Besides that, I found out that if a logo image is not square and is bigger than 300px in either dimension, it gets cropped rather than resized. First I thought it had to do with the WP media sizes setting, but even after I set it to 600px x 600px it still gets cropped to 300px. How can I change this setting so it can actually accept and resize any image?

The page where this happens it’s here. You can see the problems in the first and last logos. I will send updated credentials in a private reply.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Nevermind. Sorry for the stupid question! I did not notice that the ‘show hierarchy’ was not checked until now.

    thanks anyway!

    Hi Kyle,

Yes, I am using the default WordPress Categories widget, but if there is another way to do this, I am open to it.

    thanks.

You are right, Ed. I removed the plugin and was able to retrieve access to the admin.

    Thanks!

    Hello,

I had the same error message in a client’s website that has been delivered to him in February with Cardinal in its version 1.9x (I dont’t remember the exact version, but it was previous to the 2.0) and wordpress 4.1.1. I can’t say if he has updated WordPress or Cardinal, although Bluehost has been updating wp automatically recently, so it was at least at 4.1.4 by this month.

Then the client is saying that by August 5th the site “disappeared” after he simply deleted on page in the admin panel. The admin page is also gone. I can’t say if this is actually the only thing he has done, but the date also matches the period other people started getting this messages as in this topic. He reached Bluehost a few days later and they had no backup before August 5th and the later ones didn’t had any effect.

He contacted me this week and after a saw this post I contacted the host, checked that php was 5.2, updated it to 5.4, updated wp to 4.3 and re-uploaded Cardinal version 2.20. Nothing happens.

Here is the site address (http://acessoestacionamentos.com.br/) and the error messages that appear in the log everyday since then:

[05-Aug-2015 17:34:07] PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_PAAMAYIM_NEKUDOTAYIM in /home1/acessoes/public_html/wp/wp-content/themes/cardinal/includes/options/inc/themecheck/class.redux_themecheck.php on line 197

    Please, give some light here.
    Thanks!

    Hi Rui,

Thanks, but how could I fix this? I see that the files are there where they are supposed to. So what could be wrong in the htaccess ou server?

I didn’t change any default configuration. I just installed the wp site from the BlueHost quick installer and uploaded the theme. Exactly as I had done on the other Bluehost domain address I have to test and it worked fine. But in this one, it just doesn’t.

I could even think that maybe it was a problem when I moved the site address from the folder it is installed in to the root domain address, but even before that the shortcodes were already giving me “Internal Server Error”.

    I’m kinda lost here =/

Hi @Eddy, thanks for the reply. But I think that is not my case, then.

Hi @Rui, yes I have tried disabling the plugins, but there was not much to do. All I had was Akismet and Contact form 7, which is suggested by the theme. Not even the other suggested plugins (for Breadcrumbs or WooCommerce for example) are installed or activated.

I have also tried making another installation in another folder, but the same thing happened. Could this be a block from Swift Ideas because I have been making more than one installation without purchasing an additional license? I have more than one installation but I am actually just trying to get one right.

Have you seen my private reply with the credentials to access the admin?

    I appreciate the help.
    Thanks,

    Hey guys,

I am having the same problem here. Eddy, can you tell me what was the reason it was giving a 404?

I have this working in a test site that was installed in the end of the year (v. 1.91). Now that I am making the real installation (with version 1.95) in another server, it’s not working. But it still seem to work fine in the test site =/. Could this be some kind of problem with the latest updates??

    Thanks,

    Hi Cosmin,

I see. But would that need a lot of coding? I was able to find the meta box code where I select the type of thumbnail for the post and the line in the single page or blog page where the link provided in the meta box is assigned to $video with the video_embed function. But I couldn’t find where or how this video_embed function trims the url from youtube to get the video ID and put the strings together to create the link used in the iFrame.

I tested in the Chrome inspector and found out that all I need to embed playlists in thumbnails or main details is to get the link in the Iframe to be something like this:
{iframe src=”http://www.youtube.com/embed/?v=iYKEVs_DCMk&list=PLPl0lw3V0mkuiAR8F1gCOx_s0uz-ZJvl9″}. Which is just the way youtube shows the url (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYKEVs_DCMk&list=PLPl0lw3V0mkuiAR8F1gCOx_s0uz-ZJvl9) but with “/embed” in the middle and no “wmode” after it.

I figured that if I could just create another post type for playlists in the meta box file and change the way the this url is sent to the iframe for this post type than that would be it. Could you help me out here or is this much more complex than I thought?

    Thanks anyway!
    regards,
    Vitor
