I used the same code – it centered the menu items however the menu items do not show on mobile??

I to want to hide the main menu on the home page – but when I use the custom css it does not show up on mobile. I am trying to achieve a full screen picture slide show on the home page with out the menu but I still want the menu on all other pages exept home page.
