It does hide the elements when the screen size gets to narrow – the icon is with white edges, though. Sure it is not the icon itself that has this edges?
But this prevents blog posts from being displayed in the search result, right? A better approach would be to display blog posts as blog posts, and products like products 🙂 If they can’t fit in the same grid/display, they could go to a section for each. Then you could of course select if you wanted to show products first, or blog posts first… 😉
