    I coudn’t keep the site any longer in Maintenance.
    So I’ve restored to the older version of the theme.

    Also an other programmer has taken a look. His conclusion:
    You should tell the template maker that is is most probably a problem with Woocommerce 2.4.16.

    I’ve not updated to WC 3.0 (and I am not planning to yet … too many know problems).

    Please let me know if you find a solution for this updating problem.

    Hi, can you please let me know if you checking the site? The shorter in maintenance, the better;-)

    And about the error lines for the error 500. This is the error line in the log:

    Hopefully we can solve the problem today;-)

    The website is in maintenance again.
    I’ve backed-up the old version of the theme. The newest theme is now active.

    Please let me know if you have any questions.

    I didn’t expect that updating a theme would take this much time;-)

    OK, I have to leave again. This time a bit longer.
    So I really have to place back the back-up now and take the site off maintenance.

    OK, done. Old theme is gone. There is only the updated theme.

    There are error logs on the server, but these are in .tar.gz and I can’t open them.

    There is already this in wp-config:

    /** Memory Limit */
    define(‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘1024M’);
    define( ‘WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘1024M’ );

    I can update do the update, but if you take a look you see 2 Atelier themes:
    version 2.4.15 and version 2.4.34.
    Version 2.4.34 is currently active.

    This is just a lucky coincidence… I’ve just put back the backup of the theme;-)

    I’ve activated the updated theme again now.

    I’ve deactivated the limit login attempts.

    Also I’ve deactivated WP fastest cache. There is Varnish caching on the server, but I can’t turn that of.
