even though it comes up with the permissions issue if i logout and log back in it changes to the different template. so i am no longer using a child them and instead using the main up to date theme.

i have tested the directory by adding 1 item, however it is showing the 1 item twice in different layouts. see http://www.prosecco.club/producers-directory/. also it is showing the full content on the list page still instead of the excerpt?

if i go to the default directory root (rather than the page created using the editor it is slightly better because it doesn’t show the main content on the list page, but there are still two repetitions of the same item http://www.prosecco.club/?post_type=directory

okay, well i have v 1.95 as the theme but i have a child theme too which is v1. I don’t really understand child themes but i don’t think i need it as i am not doing any custom code. however, when i try to activate the main theme (as oposed to the child theme) it says “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.” can you advise?

hi, i would appreciate that as this directory feature is the reason why i bought this template. i have around 180 items to add and so it would be nice to have them formatted correctly and to have their own page. if you could let me know asap that would be great. if it can’t be done i will have to add them all as standard pages and then just use the directory feature to link to the standard page but that would be a shame as the directory feature should really be able to do this.

please let me know either way what development say. if this is something that they can do in the next update i will wait. if it can’t be done, or will not be done, i will go ahead using standard pages.

yes i would like a detail page but this doesn’t work when i use the swift editor, it just puts all of the content on the list page.

also, it does not format the text correctly it does not use <p> tags for example.

you can see here http://www.prosecco.club/producers-directory/ it has not used the excerpt just all of the main text but without paragraphs.

this is strange because the default page here http://www.prosecco.club/?post_type=directory does do it with the exerpt but i can’t control this page with a map etc
