Ok, great. Thanks.
Do you have a suggestion for me to remove the rich snippets for the time being?Really looking forward for a solution here, because the Google penalty really hurts 🙁
I have more specific information:– It is for all websites using the Swiftideas Joyn and Atelier theme. Probably all Swift themes.
F.e. This is Atelier:
https://developers.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool?url=https%253A%252F%252Fpatipada.nl%252Fyogakleding-kopen-waar-let-je-op%252F
This is Joyn:
https://developers.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool/?url=http://kaldi.nl/afkortingen-thee/– It is only for the blog pages of the theme. The page pages seem to be fine.
– What is missing: author, image, name, publisher
Also these are preferable: dateModified, mainEntityOfPage– Here is more information on how bad rich snippets can cause a Google penalty: http://searchengineland.com/spammy-structured-markup-penalty-recovery-use-schema-markup-caution-223289
Possible Solutions?
– Is it possible to add the misssing values to each blog article?
– Maybe the best quickfix for now is remove the snippets in the blog pages? Can you help me do this?Really looking for a reply here…
Thanks!
GerjanHi Mohammad,
I just noticed your reply.
But I think you miss understood 🙂
It is about the descriptions in the Altelier theme menu (on the front), not in the WordPress CMS.I’m afraid not sorry, will discuss with the developer to see if we can remove the description all together

Hi Kyle,
It’s a long time. But still it is giving problems for my rankings (due some updates it was back in my files + I started another webshop with the same issue).
Did you discuss it with the developer to completely leave out the descriptions in the main menu? Or make this an option?
It turns out to be really bad for SEO.That was it! Only now the title (<H1>) is in the “Hero” area.
Also the hero area is larger then previously set.Yes, it’s the latest version. To be sure I even downloaded it from themeforest.
Today about 3 PM Dutch time (1,5 hour ago).I have downgradet the Woocommerce plugin. Now it’s working fine.
So there still seems to be some difficulties with te new update.Hi Kyle,
Thanks for your help during your holiday?
Turning off the plugins did not help.
But after restoring the theme files from an older backup the problem is solved.
Thanks for thinking with me and best wishes!December 17, 2015 at 12:03 pm in reply to: Meta Description homepage not possible (in combination with Yoast SEO)? #236161Ok! Thanks for the reply.
Will post the solution later 🙂December 10, 2015 at 9:38 pm in reply to: Strange errors error log: PHP Warning: printf(): Too few arguments sf-options #234750I had problems with updating. But now everthing is updated and I believe it stopped generating errors.
Will check tomorrow to be sure.
Sorry to bother you.Hi David,
The problem seems to be solved!
I am very glad, but I have no idea what was the cause and how it is fixed 😉Nevertheless, I am thankful for your support.
Cheers!
GerjanI’m still figuring out what this can be.
When I activate twenty fifteen the site works fine.
Do you have another suggestion?Yes I did. I also disabled all the plugins but no change 🙁
I found out there is one page that is working when you hit the previous button to go back to this page:
http://kaldi.nl/evenementen/
I’m checking out what’s different in this page compared to others, but did not found out yet. This reply has been marked as private.I think this was it. I also deactivated some other plugins like layer slider and demo content.
Will check later on again, but for now thanks! -
