Just to clarify, the issue is that when that image on the login page is clicked it redirects to wordpress as opposed to the blog homepage.

I just tried something that worked… I took what you suggested and altered it to :
div.pagination-wrap.blog-pagination.clearfix {
display: none;
}

That deletes that box but leaves the page counts at the bottom of the pages

Thanks, it removed the permalink but not the email link… I added this to remove the email: body.single a.email-link {display:none;}
