Hi Mohammad, what do you mean by wordpress default theme? I bought Flexform with Rev slider, that is the only theme I use and I’m unaware of a default theme. I tried another theme and the slider doesn’t work. I have the most recent version of WP, Flexform, and Rev Slider.

I’ve been able to fix the page somewhat, but I’m very unhappy with the new UI, it seems more complicated but works less well. The preset styles that I used before have been removed, the existing fonts display differently in the preview pane and the site after updating, and the sliding is sometimes clunky and doesn’t display well.

I would very much appreciate the following specific help:

    1. Text that slides in, slides back out the same way. I want the text to stop and stay in place until the whole slide changes, and there is no option under end animation to “stay in place”. How do I do this?

    2. Slides with text on multiple lines using </br> displays with an annoying black flash across the underlying span. How do you use multiline text without seeing this? (See slide number 3)

    3. My site uses a google font (Lalo), how can I use this font for text in the slider?

    4. I had to create a custom style for my slider text because the colors/size options that I originally had were not available. If I update the theme/slider, will these styles disappear? Is there a way to save and keep them?

Thanks. I would really appreciate some help here. I bought this from you and its very frustrating to have to spend all this time fixing things and learning your UI all over again after an update.

I am now trying to redo the English slider (homeSlider) in my site using the new interface and nothing seems to be working properly:

    1. The slider only loops through 2 slides and stops, instead of all three. The slider settings say stop after “2” but I can’t change it.
    3. There is no image associated with the third slide in the global “edit slides” page. When I open the slide to edit it, I see the image, and if I try to change the image, a new image is superimposed on top. This must be related to my inability to set the slider to display the third slide, but I’m not sure what I have to do here.
    4. I have tried to change the font in the first slide using the UI. When I select a font I like and update, the font that appears in the live site does not match the font in the slider tools on the admin page.
    5. When the red text comes sliding onto the image of the first slide in the slider, when the page first loads, there is an annoying black box and line that appear and then disappear.
    6. Also, I noticed you removed your own Flexform styles from previous versions, the Flexform_ styles. Do you plan to redefine styles for every new version, and will I have to choose a new style every time I update? I would like the site to have a consistent look, but I don’t even have the css for the original styles to copy.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    matt

Hi Mohammad, thanks for the reply!
I’ve updated WP, Flexform, and Rev Slider, and the good news is that they all seem to be working fine now, so that’s good and thanks for your help and the download link to the most recent Rev Slider.

I also figured out what my specific problem was. When I created the site, I didn’t like the font options available for the sliding text used in my Rev slides, so I added my own font styles to the css file. I did this by opening a css editor via a button provided on the UI and typing them in… after closing the editor I could select my new styles via the dropdown menu. Unfortunately at some point it seems that Rev Slider was updated (not intentionally by me) and when that happened I lost all my custom styles, and the page reverted to default small gray text (quite bad). I was not aware of this for some time, perhaps months.

So now I see that I can create new styles using new css based widgits. However my concern is that this will happen again. What file does the css get written to? How can I be sure my additions will persist across new versions of the slider? And also, why/how did my rev slider update without my knowledge?

If you guys could let me know what the best/safest way to use custom css is that would be great. This site looked bad for quite a while and I don’t want this to happen again…

    Thanks again for your help!

Thanks for the reply! I fixed the image but that is actually another bug, a new one even since I posted. I have no idea how the image would have gotten corrupted, it was fine 48 hours ago. In any case, that was easy to fix but the main problem remains there, I can’t change the font styling for any text layers I add, the UI just hangs. Do you know why this would happen?

I will try updating the slider version, but the site is only about a year old, it seems strange that this would cause a problem…
