    Hello,

    dyadcycles.com/en/montreal/
    dyadcycles.com/fr/montreal/

    I got two compatibility issues :

    1 – canadian dollars is selected in woo commerce products themselves are presented in canadian currency but still I get pound symbol on top menu (see cart icon) a new bug that appear a few days ago, when everything seemed right at first.

    2 – I tried many times to have delivery and shipping option appear at checkout/orders. Sometimes it shows and the day after it doesn’t without me touching nothing in woocommerce… I have done everything right in woocommerce there just seem to be a bug. Can you please diagnose and fix?

    Let me know if you need credentials. Also, that this website is live now as our season has started.

    Thank you,

    Joelle

    Hi-again,
    Thank you very much kyle. I really appreciate your help.
    Now for the CSS part. to change the path to my new image:

    1 – can i just add a few lines to the custom css box in wordpress –> theme options — > general options –> custom css box ?
    2 – or do you suggest to make the change in the css file that i can access from my wordpress in wordpress — > appearance — > editor — > styling ?
    3 – or i can use both methods? without risks?

    Right now I can see in styling file:
    }
    ul.social-icons.dark.small li a {
    background-image: url(images/social-icons-mono-small.png);
    }

    If i changed “social-icons-mono-small.png”, kept the same name but created a folder called “images” in child would the new path to input be :

    }
    ul.social-icons.dark.small li a {
    background-image: url(child/images/social-icons-mono-small.png);
    }

    and can i just insert this in custom css box exactly as is?

    thank you,

    joelle

    Hi Kyle,

    About the icons issue, I did exactly what you said and everything went well (photoshop, replacing old icons, adding etc.). One thing though: I updated one of the two installations with neighborhood latest release and… as you can imagine my brand new icons got replaced…

    see http://dyad.terzic.org/fr/ (where icons have retruned to what it used to be)
    http://dyad.terzic.org/montrealtours/ (where icons are how they should be since i did not update)

    I am not computer literate. I understand that it must have something to do with child theme.
    Please can you just give me the exact and detailed steps on how/where to upload my modified icons so it does not disappear with every updates?

    thank you very much,

    joelle

    I did search Kyle, and i did not find any satisfying answer. I will, however, open a separate thread. The main reason why I like to interact with Ed is because he always provide the proper and precise answer at first shot.

    Once again, thank you, it worked for the shop page.

    New Questions
    Question 1: How to change color of social icons on top of home page. I want them in blue #1d5ea8
    (not dark or light). See http://dyad.terzic.org/montrealtours/.
    Question 2: How to add one icon (the owl of tripadvisor)
    Question 3: list items always appear in little flashy green. I want them in blue #1d5ea8.

    Hello!
    1 – issue issue with semi-disapearing links fixed with your neighborhood 1.6something (your latest) + refreshing my browser cache as per you advice. thank you!!

    2- please go to http://dyad.terzic.org/montrealtours/shop/ . Just browse over the products some you will see some say “select options” one or two say “add to shopping bag”. see first product as opposed to fourth product. It seems woocommerce css styling is overlapping on neighborhood theme styling. See also, for instance, the “add to shopping bag” button on individual product pages http://dyad.terzic.org/montrealtours/shop/best-sellers/e500/

    Three things:

    first: for “select options” fonts weirdly appear in bold, it makes it difficult to read. How do I get rid of that bold? The “add to shopping bag” hover is ok (not bold, and color is ok)

    second: on product hovers, “add to shopping bag” vs “select options”. I would like the message to be uniform everywhere and simply say “add to shopping bag”.

    third: how to get rid of bold on the “add to shopping bag” button on individual product pages? see http://dyad.terzic.org/montrealtours/shop/best-sellers/e500/

    thank you Ed,

    Joelle

    Hi Ed,

    Hope your are doing fine.

    Problem 1
    I have a little issue with product carrousel, the links at the bottom at half masked/hidden. Please see attachment. It is happening on several of my pages. For instance, you can look at screenshot or here:
    http://dyad.terzic.org/montrealtours/shop/electric-scooters/retromodern/
    http://dyad.terzic.org/montrealtours/pre-owned/

    Can you send somme css lines that would fix the issue?

    Problem 2
    Also, I wanted to ask: How to change the message on the hover? To make it say something else than ”Select option”

    Thank you!

    Joelle

    Hi Ed,

    Thank you very much for your help and quick response.

    A last idiotic question (I am very bad at coding… or even adding line of codes).

    So where exactly and how do I add the line of code that you kindly provided for the product over issue while making sure that new updates will not override them?

    you know these lines:

    .woocommerce ul.products li.product figure figcaption .shop-actions > a.button {
    background: transparent!important;
    border: 0!important;
    text-shadow: none!important;
    line-height: 22px;
    }

    thank you

    I also went through various forums for that kind of issues with various theme since woocommerce update to 2.1 and so.
    It is the theme provider that has to update to be compatible to new woocommerce version.
    See for instance last attachment.

    So my question is: when are you planning to update?

    thank you,

    joelle
