For anybody who might have the same need. In the functions.js file, I changed the values for both fancy-heading and heading-text on lines 211 and 212 to be twice (600 and 300 instead of the default 300 and 180) and that worked for me.

Can you at least point me out to which file/files that drive that functionality so I try to do it on my own.

That forces the elements to be visible at all time without fading as you scroll.
How can I retain the original functionality?

After making the fancy heading background taller, the background and page title disappear quickly before they get near the top of page. What controls the opacity so it doesn’t change to 0 that quickly? Please advise.
