The issue is still unresolved; I realize the menu malfunctioning has to do with there being custom form code within the Home page. Has anyone on theme maintenance considered testing with an Ontraport form and possibly resolving any issues so that Dante + Ontraport can work together in the near future?
Thanks for helping David; I just deactivated all plugins and refreshed site — Home page, drop-down not appearing. Feel free to login and have a poke around; it’s on Maintenance Mode.
Now, looking at the Home page, I’ve placed all Ontraport form code into ‘Raw JS’ blocks and I’ve even removed the footer form for now from the widgets area — yet the drop-down menu still does not appear on the Home page. What’s more, is the back-to-top arrow button does not function either. Hmmm…
I have the forms working alongside the Swift Page Builder now on the Home page by inserting the form code into a Raw JS block (for two of three forms, not the footer form cuz that’s in the Widgets section). What’s confounding is that on a page like “Learn” there is no page content, yet the drop-down menu still does not load.
Thank you Mohammad — I will test that today, but sounds like it should work.
Hi Mohammed,
In response to your latest comment on my issue:
“http://marcsklar.com/praise/, Sub menu and SPB are working”Opened this page using Chrome — drop-down menu not working. It’s weird, sometimes when I land on the Home page, the drop-down works, then I’ll navigate to another page, drop-down doesn’t appear. Any other ideas? I’m leaning towards this being an Ontraport form code issue; I think it’s interfering somehow with the theme. I’ve used Dante on about ten other sites and without form codes, never an issue.
I removed all custom CSS, saved, and refreshed the site to find the drop-down nav still doesn’t work on the Home page nor on interior pages. Are we quickly determining that the Ontraport forms are causing the issue, then?
I’ll remove the custom CSS and see if that’s the issue (you’re probably right); but we have placed two Ontraport forms into the Home page and one in all interior pages just by copying & pasting code into a text block.
Here’s a screenshot of the working drop-down; I had to open the site in an incognito window and refresh once to get it to work :/ Weird. I wonder what’s causing this conflict?

You must be logged in to view attached files.Thank you for responding — the main navigation is acting funny; for instance, on the Home page I can hover and see drop-down menus for these links: Learn, Free, Work With Me, Shop, and About. But when I click into an inside page (for instance, Learn [in the Learn drop-down menu]), the main nav no longer shows the drop-down menu. And sometimes when I click back to the Home page from an inside page, the drop-downs stop working there too. Very strange. Not sure I can provide you with a screenshot of the drop-down not working… but I’ll try to get it to work again (by re-loading the page) and post a pic of what should be showing.
Discovery: When I disable the Swift Page Builder (in Theme Options > General Options) the main menu drop-downs appear. So when the Swift Page Builder is activated, it conflicts with the drop-down menu somehow. But I still don’t know what is causing that conflict, whether it’s one of our plugins (not sure how if all are deactivated) or some custom code. Are you able to spot any custom code added to the theme, or is that too time-consuming?
It may be worth mentioning that my client had their developer to look at the theme code and they wanted to ask about the use of the $ shortcut in functions.js and conflicts with plugins that use/load your own version of jQuery.
That worked! Thank you very much 🙂
Thank you for responding — SO weird. I copied & pasted the code from the page that wasn’t updating and just created a new one, and it’s working now. I also have two javascript forms that might be screwing things up. I should be okay here on in. Thanks
It’s looking great! Thank you very much 🙂
