I’m so sorry Mohammad, yes, the site is now at http://www.matrixtpa.com/
We now have the W3 Total Cache and CDN in use but the header still loads slowly.
Please let me know what you think.
Thanks,
MikeHi Mohammad,
I have added the Wp Super Cache and I understand that the CDN will help but what I do not understand is that there is still a significant delay for the header to load. I am not sure how it is loading fast for you as it is the last thing on the page to load which leads the text content to jump down the screen once it does load. I am getting a lot of complaints about this and really need to figure our how to get it fixed.
When I looked at a waterfall there is a start offset of 2.775 seconds? Is this what is causing the delay in loading?
Hi Mohammed,
I added the custom css but the header still seems to load very slowly and thus the content on the page jumps since it loads first. http://new.matrixtpa.com/ You can see going from page to page the header continues to load slowly.
Any suggestions to get the header to speed up? Even if it loads before the content would be Ok as this site is more concerned with appearance than function.
Thanks,
MikeHi Mohammed,
I am not sure about the GD Image Extension. I deleted the original image from the library and yet the front page still did not update? Other new images were updating though?
I realized that it was the 270×270 image size that was not refreshing and showing in the carousel. I simply deleted all of the images via FTP and uploaded a new Featured Image on the Team page and everything refreshed.
Thanks,
MikeHi Mohammad,
Not that I am aware of.
Thanks,
MikeThanks Mohammad. I completely understand now. I have Dante on one other site but I don’t have any large external image links on that site but I am getting ready in start a 3rd site so that was why I was curious as to the issue.
Again,
Thanks for Your Help,
MikeHi Mohammad,
I am sorry but I am relatively inexpereinced and don’t quite understand your directions. Could you simplify or provide more details to the directions? Where is the media.php located and then can I just add that to the child theme?
Thanks,
MikeHi Mohammad,
The issue appears to be fixed. What was the resolution so that I know. I used Dante themes on several sites. Was there something I could have done on my end to fix it?
Thanks,
MikeThis reply has been marked as private.Updating the version did not resolve the issue. Any more suggestions? The biggest issues appear to be with IE10, 8 and 7. These are image links so not sure if that helps.
Thanks,
MikeHi Mohammad,
I am sorry but I do not understand your response. There are only two links that work on the page I submitted. The other links are image links from the Swift Builder and none of the links appear to work in IE10. The links work fine on the other browsers.
When investigating it looks like there are other issues with the image sizes and missing links depending on the IE version.
Your help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
MikeHi Kyle, Sorry. I removed the date from the URL and forgot that I had made this post first. I was able to get my issue resolved today. For some reason I couldn’t get the font family to change before but it is all good now. I added to the css:
`strong {
font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, Tahoma, sans-serif !important;
letter-spacing: normal!important;
font-weight: bold!important;
}Thanks Melanie. For some reason I just couldn’t figure that out. Worked perfectly.
Thanks Mohammad. I did change to https in the child theme and everything works well.
I just thought I would suggest that perhaps the php can be changed for the next version and save a lot of work for others using ssl.
Like I said, I am not a coder but just had a suggestion.
Thanks for Your Quick Response,
Mike -
