I haven’t had a chance to wade through the code yet. but thanks for the tool tip.
August 4, 2015 at 1:25 pm in reply to: Dante updates broken header, footer & boxed/wide view #200625Yes, #header, #main-container and #footer are all customised (not heavily) – everything worked fine before the update, but I can’t see what changes you’ve made that would override my amends. Even background:transparent !important; won’t work any more and I can’t see why 🙁
FYI – I had to remove the broken homepage, so the page referred to above as ‘current landing page’ is actually here – it shows the broken custom header.
Another forum post had a download link to a previous version – just wondering how subsequent updates would work if I rollback? Or would I need to stop updating the theme from then on??
Cheers.

This fixed the header, but footer background image is still pushed left…

July 15, 2014 at 8:29 pm in reply to: Full-screen Video Buttons not working in Android browser #91451Ok, thanks for trying and for getting the slider to work 🙂
July 15, 2014 at 7:36 pm in reply to: Full-screen Video Buttons not working in Android browser #91446Yes, I’ve never been able to get the screenshot to work while using GoLauncher, but these days I can’t get it to function when I switch over to the default Launcher either. Oh well never mind.
Thanks for trying with the signup form, but attached is what I see when I resize my browser (desktop), so it still needs some work (don’t worry, I’ll have a play around with it). Do you have any ideas how to get the flower to keep it’s position when on a mobile? It always drops down below the copy – very annoying. I think I may have to rethink using the slider at all, it seems to be more trouble than it’s worth?
Many thanks!

Thanks for trying to get to the bottom of it for me.
RevSlider – I tried changing the settings and putting them back, but didn’t try editing the slides themselves – good to know, thanks. Any thoughts on how to fix the alignment issues when on mobile? It’d be interesting to know how the slider looks on your screen – I would send you a screengrab of mine, but as you know, I can’t.
Thanks for confirming the video works for you, must be my phone – I tried restoring the browser defaults, but it didn’t help. Never mind, thanks anyway. What launcher are you using, perhaps GoLauncher is interferring with mine?
Thanks again.
July 15, 2014 at 11:55 am in reply to: Full-screen Video Buttons not working in Android browser #91276Thanks for getting the slider back – what did you do (in case it happens again), I don’t see any changes?? Are you able to help me sort out the alignment issues on mobile? If not, I will probably have to abandon the slider anyway – it looks awful on Android default.
I’m not sure why you would target .read-more:hover – the video links aren’t ‘read more’ links, they’re video links. Either way, it hasn’t worked – the links still show an underline when touched.
Plus, don’t forget the original topic – the videos won’t play in the default Android browser (they play fine on the same browser via a modal & in FF). They still don’t work for me – do they work for you??
Thanks.

Thanks the link to the sticky topic, I’ve updated (and subscribed), but oh-oh, there’s a problem…
The RevSlider I’m using only has 1 slide, before the update it would play the slide and then stop. Now that I’ve updated RevSlider (via the manual update on the RevSlider page), it plays the first slide, then clears the screen. I’ve double checked that the settings weren’t changed during the update and they seem fine. I’ve even played with the ‘General Settings’ and put them back as they were (‘Stop After Loops’ 0, ‘Stop At Slide’ 1), but it makes no difference, my slider keeps clearing the screen. Any thoughts…?I was going to send you a screenshot before, but for some reason the screengrabber on my phone has stopped working (time for an upgrade me thinks). So, unless you can recommend a good Android app for that, I’m afraid I can’t send you one.
The underline is simply a text-decoration on hover, for the icon in the video play button (shows up under the triangle, just as it would under text). As always, it’s fine in FF, but the Android defaul (sigh)… I’ve tried targeting it with an override, but it doesn’t seem to be working. Here’s the css I tried, if you can see where I’m going wrong, that’d be great…
p a:hover.fw-video-link i{
text-decoration: none !important;
}Many thanks!!
That’s wierd, so the only way around it is to target elements individually vis css. OK, thanks for confirming.
Cheers.
Ok, thanks I’ll give it a go 🙂
