Thank you for the plugin suggestion to find-and-replace the text. I tried the plugin but the text has not changed. The plugin is still installed and set up if you want to look at it. Are there any tricks or secrets to get it to work?
If you edit the Home page, you should see it load slowly, and save very slowly — like 60+ seconds to save the page.
Do you see that?
There appears to be damage to the database — perhaps from the demo content imports, which all took a long time and ultimately failed. When I make a virgin WP installation with just the theme and manually-created pages, it is faster.

.portfolio-showcase figure.animated-overlay figcaption { opacity: 1; } .portfolio-showcase figcaption .thumb-info h4 { transform: none; } .portfolio-showcase figure.animated-overlay:not(:hover) figcaption { background: transparent; } .portfolio-showcase figcaption .thumb-info > i { display: none; }
Thank you! That’s great.
I added back in your original CSS because I also like having the hover head on the regular images too. So with the two of them, I think I’m all set now.
This reply has been marked as private.Thank you. That makes sense but it isn’t having an effect. Here is the code from the portfolio carousel that I want to force the image title display on. Does this help?

Thank you! This works great for individual image elements.
How do we do the same thing for Portfolio gallery elements, as shown on my original attachment? (When the portfolio headline/title is set to hover)
thank you.
PS: I believe in Cardinal, there is a toggle that lets you easily turn hovering titles on and off per item in the page builder. If I am correct, is this a feature you could add to a future version of Uplift? Thanks!
This helped me too. You might want to make this the default in the theme?
OK, thanks!
Great! Thank you.
Will this be fixed in a future update, so I will be able to remove the custom CSS at some point? Or is it something unique to my site?
thanks again
It appears that buttons floating alone as solo page elements are OK, but buttons used as shortcodes in a text box are messed up. Does that help?
Or, is Cardinal tested with Adobe Typekit for web fonts?
The brand font is not a google font. Is there a simple way to use a custom font with Cardinal?
