Thank you for the response. I have been able to correct the issue by eliminating the Pre-built blog template in the page builder and then selecting it from “Choose elements”.

Why it works in one way and not the other I do not know. Right now the site is behind a maintenance page so cannot be viewed without logging in. If you would like to see it let me know and I’ll send login information in a private reply.

It may be interesting to note that when I click on a category archive that the page does show and Excerpt. It is only on the home page, which uses the Swift Page Builder and the Pre-Built Blog template where I cannot get excerpts to show.

The issue is not the length of the excerpt. The issue is the fact that I cannot get an excerpt to show. No matter what I do only the full length post shows.

I have tried setting the excerpt in the Page Builder – no luck. I have tried using a custom excerpt (as suggested elsewhere) – no luck.

The site will be primarily a blog and I need to show excerpts.
