Ahem, how about leaving the website as you found it? I left one plugin activated and settings displaying home page. You left the plugin de-activated and settings displaying posts.
Which scripts are dequeued that are causing abnormal behavior?

The only active plugin is revolution slider. The content of the page is some weather scripts and a google map script.
