Thanks Melanie. I’ll take that answer as a no! I’m already rewriting the paths to use my child theme’s sf_framework_path successfully however it would have been nice to make use of similar override functionality to WordPress/Woocommerce.

I am a developer by the way, just looking for more elegant solutions 🙂

I’m bumping this because it’s been pushed back to the third page already.

@Ed – Yes, that’s precisely what’s happening. I’ve located where the error is thrown but not the cause. Unfortunately on WPEngine’s staging environment you don’t get much in the way of logging, so to save time we’re launching without Wishlist and I will endeavour to track the logs in production.

I’ll report back when I have the error details, unless I can track down the cause.

@howardhope – no, it is not a real solution. It is a workaround until there is a solution. I thought I’d share how I dealt with it, that’s all.

    Hi dopeoranges

I had this problem on some pages too. Some pages would not save the Page Meta data for Page Title, Sidebars, etc.

The only solution for me was to recreate all the pages that were affected and delete the old ones. Incredibly frustrating, I know.

    Good luck,
    Elliot

I’d like to put my hand up and say that the Wishlist plugin is not working for me either.

It returns an error when trying to add an item to a wishlist when the user is logged in.

It works fine when the user is not logged in.

I doubt it has anything to do with SSL as I have not enabled SSL yet (this is on a staging server).

    Hi Ed

The custom field persists, however the meta options do not.

You’re right, on other pre-existing pages the options set correctly, just not currently the home page. I’m unsure what other pages aren’t working.

I’ve also confirmed that meta options save on newly created pages, but not on existing pages. This isn’t ideal.
