Found the problem, the webhotel with the problem runs PHP7, downgrading to PHP.5.6 solved the problem. But at some time the host WILL NOT support PHP lower than 7 – so you should upgrade the theme/builder asap!

Found out what is causing the trouble, but need advice on what to do.

You have previously helped me with the code to make the seachfield look a bit different, see this:

That code is now adding the grey area.
