Excellent – how about just the “off” state title “Hello World”?

Thanks – you agree this is something that really should be preserved, and that clearly there is nothing wrong with the way I followed instructions including re-importing db?

I explained. Here, off the top of my head.

Lost promo bar, and it is set to default not showing.
    Showing footer which I disabled.
Fonts all gone – says there are no custom fonts.
    ALL custom CSS.
Had to include the logo again.

I have kept the custom colours, media library, pages and so on – so why is this?!

I can either roll back (which does not actually solve the need to switch *relatively* easily to root following site client approval) or go through everything, painstakingly, and manually restore everything, finding all the CSS changes that were posted on the thread.

So please give this proper thought as it is clearly important that we get “to the root” of it 😉

I know that, and followed the guide carefully. I did a search and replace so that EVERY link in the sql file in Notepad had changed from /site to root. So that isn’t the problem. Solution?

I do have the option of “rolling back” to yesterday but this is all a big hassle and developing in a subfolder and then moving to root is a very standard practise for designers – for obvious reasons…

http://www.soundtwisters.co.uk – I have just moved the site into root and consequently lost a lot of the customisation (but not things like colour customisation) so it is not a migration error or database problem – see my other thread first which is rather more important! Why is this? Major problem if Cardinal cannot preserve this information.

There is the standard footer which I disabled. The promo bar, which I styled and so on, is now off with no options… it goes on!

I should say I am working towards restoring it, but the main thing that I have lost is custom CSS and fonts with line spacing, size and so on – clearly, the database was imported correctly and when I first logged in Cardinal was selected – so why have I lost all of this?

OK – that works for the h1 in ABOUT page, but makes no difference to the header font – nearly there – what else do I need? Ta.

Yes I added the custom icon. I just don’t want the quotation mainly as it pushes the iphone layout badly.

OK – look on iphone. A single word does not fit on a line therefore I need a CSS tweak.

Also, testimonials quotation still there. As I say, it takes half the time to answer it first, so your consideration much appreciated!

Just updated – that doesn’t help on either front. Could you have a look on iphone? You’ll see what I mean then. Ta!

You will see particularly on iphone, that this quoptation mark shifts everything to the right, so I would prefer to remove it completely. Ta!
