But would it be possible to point the english blog post carroussel to the french articles?

Or do I have to duplicate the french content to the translated pages?

I am using rev_slider2 which is a duplicate from homeslider to not put a mess in the original “slider revolution homeslider.
But if you go in slider2, then “edit slides” > Slide n°4, “typography” and go for a preview you can see my sizing font changes is not happening while you can see bigger font size in the page image (where you can drag and drop the content)

With it, all the footer becomes grey except the twitter widget.
Look, I see you are struggling with it.
