    Hi David,

I believe I got the issue *resolved* simply by uploading the theme via the WordPress upload interface using the .zip file instead of unpacking the theme and uploading the directory via FTP. Installing the theme through WordPress (and not ftp) seemed to have resolve the permission issue or at least avoiding the effort in finding out where the issue is originating.

    All is well.

Quick question: What is the suggested process for updating my theme (Supreme) when swiftideas releases a new version?

    Thank you!

    Cosmin,

What’s the latest version of the theme as of 6/12/13 and what is the best way to update?

Re-opening this ticket: Curious, does anyone know how to get a divider at the bottom of a rev slider with a white bg? This of course assuming your page bg color is white as well.

I am attempting to show a differentation between the slider and the page when both use a simple white bg.

I’ve achieved this by changing the bg color of the slider so that it differentiates from the page bg color.

However, curious, if anyone can get a bottom divider/border to appear beneath the slider itself?

Resolved: Made the bg of my slide(s) transparent and defined the background color of the entire slider within the Appearance settings. Also defined the Border type within the slider settings as well. Border now shows up. It had nothing to do with browser version. Older Firefox versions do display border padding. The newer versions do not. Thank you ๐Ÿ™‚

Updated: The code above for changing the sub-nav background opacity worked like a charm! Of course, I had to only modify the rgb (255,255,255) to my own custom color. Thank you!

Hover: How to target the sub-nav background, so that it highlights a specific color (and opacity) when active?

Are the width arrows (top left corner) supposed to show up on the blog element in page builder mode? If so, they do not show up for me.

I am bumping this post. My site is going live soon. Can I expect to run into this issue as well???

Does removing the styleswitchter folder resolve the issue?

    Ben,

    Thanks for the reply.

I actually was referring to the sub-navigation from primary navigation and not the top bar navigation (though the code you provided does help if/when I want to make the top bar transparent as well).

How to make the sub-navigation (secondary drop-down menu from primary/main navigation bar) about 80% transparent (while keeping text crisp)?

Also, note that if you want a Revolution Slider to appear as it does on the demo homepage (“at the top of the page”) you do not have to add it as an element via the Page Builder. Again, you setup the slider as I’ve outlined in the above posts ๐Ÿ™‚

Resolved: Anyone new to the theme that has the same question: After you install the Revolution Slider, you can indeed specify the name of the slider you want displayed in the “slider” area of any given page. In my case, I wanted a Revolution slider I built to be displayed in the exact spot and position as it is on the Supreme Demo (the homepage).

There are two slider types (Default Slider and the Revolution Slider). You will see options for either in the wordpress admin. The default slider is great for handling images and posts. The Revolution Slider is great for heavy animation and more ‘dynamic’ slides.

When you build a page, you can specify the name of the sliderย  you want from either of the slider types. You can find this option under “Page Meta” > Page Options when you’re creating/building/editing any given page.

If you want the default slider (for images or posts) then click the “Show Posts Sliders” box and specify the name and/or categories you want to include within that slider. The slider will be displayed at the top of the page. It even says below the check box, “Show the posts slider at the top of the page.”

If you instead want to display a Revolution Slider that you’ve built, be sure the “Show Posts Slider” check box is unchecked then specify the name/alias of the Revolution Slider that you want to use within the field called “Revolution Slider Alias” which is just a few fields below “Show Posts Slider” – Update Page and then you’re done!
