Thanks Kyle, it turns out a corrupt JPEG was causing the issue in the Media Gallery

Fixed it, it was caused by a corrupt jpeg being uploaded to the media gallery for anyone with a similar problem.

Could you tell me is it possible to link to a section of a page as in the one page navigation? Each time I use a link like sitename.com/#bottomsection it causes the page to freeze.
