March 29, 2016 at 8:51 pm in reply to: Removing the 'no comments' from summary of blog posts #258588Hi,
It’s on the homepage http://www.themakerplace.co.uk At the bottom of the page i have a section to display blog posts – I don’t want the text ‘no comments’ showing under the post title.
many thanks,
PhilippaThanks Mohammad and thanks for all your help with the theme so far!
Hi,
I’m very pleased to be able to say I’ve just launched my new site http://www.themakerplace.co.uk It’s a multi-vendor marketplace site using WCVendors Pro plugin (but an edited one for high-quality homeware from UK-based designer-makers).
Thanks for all of your help with it so far. I’m sure there will be tweaks I’ll want to make as I go forward but as I started out a complete wordpress newbie I’ve been really impressed by the theme! thanks!
Philippa
i thought it would be something silly I hasn’t done… thanks!
Brilliant -thanks so much!
Hi,
He’s one http://www.themakerplace.co.uk/product/shaded-leaf-lamp-shade/
It’s appearing at the bottom of the main product text underneath Maker: xxxxxx which is part of the meta data I need to keep on the page.
many thanks
PhilippaMarch 7, 2016 at 10:53 pm in reply to: difficulty adding and editing images to 1/6th columns #254014Hi Rui,
Thanks for your help with this. The editing function is working but I am still struggling to get the images in the bottom section of the page to be the full column width. They’re stuck at 3/4 and consequently the images are showing up too small.
thanks

It’s the slides ‘MEET THE MAKERS’ and ‘Modern Artisan’ in the ‘home’ category.
many thanks
PhilippaHi David,
Thanks for getting back to me on this. In reply –
1) its not a plugin – it’s Pinterest’s browser button working if you have it installed to allow you to pin images from any site. It should appear on hover (which it does) then you should be able to click it but when i go to click it disappears and i can’t do it. I thought it might have something to do with the styling of the images. I thought maybe one of your team might have been asked about it before so it was worth asking you as I’m not sure where to start? It would be useful to add the functionality on the site itself to have a pin it button appearing on the images. is this an option/possibility?2)Hi this shortcode setting isn’t working properly. Its only displaying the facebook symbol and then it just takes me to the site’s facebook page whereas i specifically want a ‘share’ button that shares the content of the page on the users’ own Facebook profile. It worked for Facebook and twitter with the ‘social share’ shortcode but the pinterest button is redundant so i just want to remove it. Does this make sense and is there a shortcode that can do it?
3) I disabled maintenance mode and logged out and it didn’t make a difference. Is there anything I can do here so people can share content from specific page?
many thanks for all your help with this
PhilippaFebruary 28, 2016 at 10:24 pm in reply to: Swift framework update has caused loss of page builder? #252509Hi Rui,
Thanks very much for this. Yes the update has worked. I also had the same thought about the new page builder. I liked it before and as I’m trying to launch the site in a couple of weeks I’m not relishing the fact that there will be more work to do trying to get my head around it all now. I can see the logic though so hopefully in the long term it will be a benefit… 🙂 Thanks for helping with this issue.
PipHi Kyle,
Many thanks for this. Apologies re: the spacing below the header bar – it obviously took a while to update; it’s all fine now!
thanks,
PipHi Kyle,
Thanks so much for super-speedy reply! I’ve found doing this doesn’t work to the extent I would like when the page title is removed completely?
The other aspect is removing a little of spacing under the logo and above the main navigation menu in the header bar. I’m using header 4.
thanks for all your help
