Hi David,
Sorry for the late reply, I forgot to check the notify me of replies button.
I tried to remove the CSS and activate the Parent theme, but the problem insists. You are right about the outdated woocommerce files, but I think this problem happened before I got the outdated Woocommerce template notification(but could be wrong)Can you reproduce the problem or is it a problem on my side?
To be honest, I made my Dante based shop blazingly fast on my VPS with Nginx and the built-in fastcgi cache. I know it is ‘slightly’ more advanced than a simple shared hosting(although there are thorough tutorials out there), but I am getting great results using only: WP+Dante, APC and Nginx+fastcgi-cache, nothing else, no annoying W3TC issues(I had these as well, everyone does). Also if you have performance issues due to a lot of http requests, you can use HTTP2 with Nginx which can do a lot of requests in 1 TCP connection through multiplexing.
Just my 2 cents, probably not the answer you wanted to hear.
I think I will skip the minifying and wait until HTTP2 is mature with Nginx, so concurrent requests is no problem. I have Nginx reverse proxy enabled to cache directly (insanely fast) from Nginx as well as APC+W3 total cache. I highly doubt it is my system’s problem or a Dante theme problem, rather poor performance from flexslider. It is too much to ask for you to fix this, but glad that I have found the problem.
Thank you for the fix. It worked sort of. When I hover over a picture, the badge disappears for a second. Any ideas how to keep the badge?
Thanks again
Sorry for double post, couldn’t edit. I also see that the same CSS file is loaded multiple times with different version numbers ( style.css?ver=4.4.1, style.css?ver=2.0.3 etc.) Is this a flaw or normal?
Thanks for the fast reply!
I could not find the favicon (error) in your waterfall or in mine, but reuploaded it in the Dante Theme Options, just to make sure.
I tried combining CSS on Disk and with APC, both broke the site significantly. I guess manually, carefully combining would be the only way, which did not turn out very well the last time I tried that. Should I combine them in the order of the waterfall, to prevent any dependency errors?
What could be reasons of server delay? I am running one core with 1gb RAM. But I have a lot of RAM left. This is out of the scope of the theme, initially I thought the problem was something JS theme related (the lightbox image gallery on each product page), so if you cannot provide a lot of support, I’ll understand 🙂
Worked perfectly, thx!
Not sure if I should have made my own topic, however I have the very same issue.
The filter code snippet did not work for me either. What was the solution?I am trying to limit the related products to 4 items all in 1 row (instead of the carousel with a lot of related products)
Preferably, I would like to choose the order in which the 4 related products appear, because cross-sells that I have explicitly chosen have lower priority(more on the right), than random related products chosen by Woocommerce at this moment. Would that be possible?Resolved
Yes added manually in sidebar with a widget. You are right. It has nothing to do with the theme. It was a bug in the plugin when certain options were checked.
Everything works now. Thank you.The issue has resolved itself ( I regressed to an older version of Woocommerce, updated back again and imported the demo content and somehow it started working!?). I still have a minor issue on this page: http://hinkle.nl/product-categorie/jackets/
As you can see, the plugin I use (WOOF products filter) is shown twice. I know this is not a plugin you support but is it possible Dante has something to do with it?Thanks for your help.
Hi Kyle,
Was a developer able to recreate my problem and has he looked into updating the template as a solution?
What would be wise for me to do, should I regress woocommerce to an older version, wait until the fix, or is it relatively easy to do the fix myself?Yes, I already added the widget and used ‘sidebar one’ as a container for the Price Filter, but using Woocommerce sidebar as a container does not work either. The Woocommerce Product Category widget did and does work however. Hope you could swing by my admin page to take a look, would be very appreciated.
Not sure if it is a Dante issue, but it just seems so odd. Also, dante is using old Woocommerce templates( dante/woocommerce/single-product/price.php version 1.6.4 . Core version is 2.4.9), so who knows.
Thanks for taking measures.
Hi Kyle,
Will the problem that the gallery cannot be ‘ lightboxed’, be fixed anytime soon? There was already a topic on this and your colleague Mohammad gave a manual fix, but that is not ideal due to updates overriding…….
