Ed,
Thanks for the clarification. Is there a way or an update you are working on where I can let the user easily filter through the blog post categories of my choosing (something that’s like the tab system I’ve placed in my site that you saw, Or, something like the portfolio filter that you have). The current aux options provided for blog posts appear too bloated, with every single category being shown (that also hidden under the Categories option) and too many extra options with no controls for the admin.
I hope you can see the need for such a simplified way to filter blog posts here.

Kyle, it’s working perfectly fine here. What do you see when you go there?
Can you copy paste the URL you are trying to go to?

Actually, I tried doing this on my own using Tabs in the Swift Builder, where each tab has the masonry blog post list with posts from pre-selected categories showing. At first, everything seemed to work fine, but it seems like my 3rd tab now has an odd way of presenting the masonry posts.
Here is the way to reproduce:
1. Go to http://www.alikapadiafilms.com
2. Click on My Posts
3. Scroll down to see the irregular arrangementHere you will see that the masonry blog posts are arranged in an odd manner leaving too much blank space. I earlier also tried adding more blog posts to show in there and it seemed like those showed after the blank area in the middle. It was a very odd arrangement.
Just wanted to add my vote here to having the ability to filter masonry blog posts like how the portfolio items are filtered.
The current blog aux options are too bulky and list every single category. The theme needs something simpler where we can tag posts in to categories and let the user filter through them quickly, based on only the categories we list in the menu.
You mentioned that you have plans to improve on this feature. Can you please elaborate and let us know if you’ll be providing a better way to filter blog posts?
Hi Ed,
This improves things a little on Firefox, but makes things worse on Safari and Chrome by moving the header logo and menu down and making the layout look weird like this: http://glui.me/?i=814b6yv17fkbz85/2014-01-27_at_11.29_AM_2x.png/
Can you please suggest another solution that works on all browsers?

What browser and OS did you try it with? I am able to replicate it on a different computer. Mac, on Safari.
There are 2 issues here.
1. The page height getting short when you go back to the home page form a blog page by clicking the main logo image.
2. The background image showing below the footer of the site as demonstrated here: http://glui.me/?i=orl22rm4zf131m5/2014-01-12_at_1.55_PM_2x.png/
The 2nd issue I mentioned above is replicating consistently, all the time, across all browsers. Can you look at that one until I get you a more reliable way of replicating the issue no.1 ?
Note that with issue no.1, one thing that always happens on Safari and Chrome both, is that as the home page is loading, for a split second you can see the page height become short and then immediately fix itself. Its sometimes that it doesn’t fix itself resulting in the page height issue.

Has anyone been able to look in to this? It is the last issue remaining on my site, and it happens pretty often.
Just to update you, the issue with the home page height collapsing is still happening in v1.5 as shown here: http://glui.me/?i=klr1jdm95kgw0fv/2014-01-07_at_10.25_PM_2x.png/
This was replicated in Safari.
It happens sometimes, when you are on a blog page, and click on the site logo to get back to the home page.
Note that when the issue does not happen, you still can notice the page height collapse happening for just a split second.
When the issue does happen, it fixes itself if you roll-over the mouse on top of a blog post image.
Looking forward for your help to fix this issue.
Btw, the issue mentioned above, with the background showing below the footer, is consistently replicating on Chrome.
I have updated to v1.5. The issue is still there: http://glui.me/?i=joymxl37oqre10e/2014-01-07_at_11.29_AM_2x.png/
Please help me fix this.
An update on the issue mentioned in my last comment. It looks like when I roll-over on a blog post image while the issue is happening, the page height immediately expands and everything starts looking normal again. If you don’t do that, the page remains stuck in the small height while everything looks like the screenshot I provided.
I also keep running in to this issue here: http://glui.me/?i=st1a0b4p7hbnhze/2014-01-04_at_5.36_PM_2x.png/
I think it is related to the main issue I posted.
It happens on the home page sometimes when I click the main logo from any other page to go back to the home page. My guess is that it has something to do with the masonry blog listing showing with the animation effects disabled. But you guys probably know better.
Please let me know how to fix this.
I’m using safari.
