    Hi,

Check the example below of the text that is inside the translation file.
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/baotz1os51nb46w/example_of_spanish_text.png?dl=0

Just notice something , you talked about en_PE but the code to be in Spanish is es_ES
Also your admin is not in Spanish, did you changed you settings wp-config to es_ES? Do you will have several languages or only Spanish.

Check this documentation about the wp-config.php
    http://neighborhood.swiftideas.net/documentation/#translation

P.s- didn’t saw your last reply when I replied

I do no think you are looking in the right spot.
As the theme language directory does have the es_PE files, and localization is seeing it (above) neighborhood.

    Hi,

Yes, it is. I see that still isn’t working.
Can you also try to place the .po .mo filed for es_PE in the Neighborhood “language” directory.

I will do that now, and test. Done. But does not seem to address the issues (enumerated, 1-3 above).

Did you placed the file inside the Parent Theme languages? I suppose that file has the translations for 1-3
Let me know if it don’t work.

Hi RUI. I need to figure this out. not sure what time zone you are in. but I will be available all day. Putting the edited language files in the parent theme directory defeats the whole purpose,no? One of the goals is to NOT lose the edits upon theme update.

The purpose to test in the Parent theme is to check it it’s translating well or not, this is something that also depend on your settings.

Did also tried to translate the files with Poedit?
    Like suggested here : http://neighborhood.swiftideas.net/documentation/#translation

    Yes. I edit in poedit.
I will try moving the theme files up, for the purpose of troubleshooting, to see if it fixes 1-3. and report back…
