    Hello,

I currently have my options set to use full width so that the header and footer stretch across the monitor.

However, I would like to wrap the page content (basically everything between the header & footer) in a div which I can apply a left and right border to.

I am basically trying to create a hybrid layout of sorts (full width top and bottom with the content boxed in between, but using the full, default 1170px width).

I poked around at styling some of the DIV containers already pre-existing in the page template, but experienced various quirks. Before I go further I thought I would just come here and ask first so that I know if I’m wasting my time:

    1) Is this even possible without breaking anything in how the elements behave within the box, and if so…

    2) Where would be the best place for me to position the DIVS within the page template?

    Thanks! And great theme!

    Hi,

I would add that div inside the one with the ID of page-wrap, or a level above, inside the one with the class “container”, as those wrap the whole main content.
