I don’t know if this is the right forum to ask in, but I haven’t been able to find the information anywhere. When upgrading to the newest version of WooCommerce, would that influence my translations (in Codestyling-Localization)?

I wonder if an upgrade would override my current translations and if there is a way to secure your translations.

    Hi,

Yes they will be replaced, you just have to make a backup of your .po and .mo files and replace them again after the update.

    Here we go again ๐Ÿ™‚

Now, I can’t see the .mo file within the ‘Codestyling’ plugin. Would I then have to add a new language? And how would that influence my language files?

I already made a backup of the previous .mo/.po files, that contains my translations.

I’m sorry for being a bit stupid on this subject, but I am very afraid that my translations won’t work. So I just want to make sure that I’m doing the right thing. I hope you understand ๐Ÿ™‚

    Hi,

Just added you a new language in Woocommerce.
Can you confirm if there any files inside Woocommerce/i18n/languages?
According to Codelocalization shouldn’t be no translation files inside Woocommerce.

Is missing the .mo file that you can generated with code localization.
Guess your .po file permissions are incorrect, try to change them to 664

Can you be a bit more precise, where do I change the .po file permissions? I’ve made a copy of my previous .mo and .po, is that of any use?

You should change inside that folder in your screenshot. In your screenshot it shows the permissions.

You should change it using Filezilla for instance.

Then use code localization to scan again.

Sorry, but I mean: how do I change the permissions (like you said: “to change them to 664”). I know how to find them in Filezilla ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks!
