Hey guys,
I encountered a problem when trying to add some additional content above the products on the woocommerce shop page. The page builder just seem to bug out on this page – for instance I can add elements but not edit them.
I found some others here in the forum with the same problem but I didn’t see any real solutions for this.I’m aware that the content on this page is automatically generated but I would still like to add some content above the products (eg image banners and such).
Hope there is a solution for this?
Anyway keep up the good work guys, really appreciated!
ChristineJune 3, 2016 at 6:21 pm #272383oh i forgot to ask another (totally unrelated) thing: I’m using the theme in german but there is a translation error in the Wishlist plugin: on the product and the shop page, when you hover over the wishlist icon it says “Zur Wunschliste hinzugefügt” when it should say “Zur Wunschliste hinzufügen” – I think the original says “Add to wishlist”
I searched through the german po file of the wishlist plugin but could not find this wrong translation anywhere..
this is probably obvious but I just could not find a solution – do you have any idea how to solve this?June 6, 2016 at 1:28 pm #2726931. The image banner for the shop is set in Theme Options => WooCommerce Options => Shop Options.
2. The translation will be in the theme .po folder. How to: http://www.swiftideas.com/knowledgebase/translating-the-theme-using-poedit/
Thanks.
June 6, 2016 at 1:47 pm #272704Hi David,
1. well thank you for the answer but that was not my question – I don’t want to add one header/banner image, but actual content created with the page builder. (my wording “image banner” was just an example for something you might add with the page builder, but I actually want text, images, etc. – not the best wording, i realise now)
Anyway, the page builder is (as mentioned before) bugged on this page. Any solutions for this problem?2. oh ok thanks .. i thought there was an obvious solution to this 🙂 Thank you!
but you might want to consider changing this in your provided language files, since this is an actual grammatical error that changes the meaning of the translated string – i’ve included the changed po + mo files (only change is to the above mentioned line “add to wishlist”) in case you want to use it (edit: file type not allowed, i’ll mail it to you if you are interested)Regards, Christine
June 8, 2016 at 12:25 pm #273171Hi,
1) Ok, you are looking to add Page Builder content above your shop page output? Can you add a link and WP login?
2) Great, thanks.

MohammadJune 13, 2016 at 12:31 pm #274235Hey Mohammad,
I attached a screenshot of the page builder on the shop page – as you can see my cursor is pointed on the element but the black controls don’t appear as they should, so I cannot edit, or add actual content to this element. (Also notice how the plus sign on the row is offset? – no problem there, but I just thought it is weird.)For reference I also added a screenshot of another random page where the controls appear normally.
I already tried to create a new page and assign that as the new woocommerce shop page, but that didn’t change anything – same bug as before. Hope you can help?
thanks, ChristineAttachments:

You cant edit the shop page because woocommerce covert this page to archive page.
Thanks
